Encounter the uniquely British character of Christchurch on this delightful city overview.

Your day will begin by proceeding along the extinct volcanic rim of Lyttelton Harbor to Governor's Bay, where you'll climb to the summit of the Port Hills.  There are magnificent views encompassing the harbor, Christchurch and across to the Southern Alps from this fine vantage point.

As you proceed through the central city, you'll pass splendid neo-Gothic buildings, including the Arts Center, Museum, Christ's College and Provincial Chambers.  You'll also see the new University campus an Ilam.

After glimpsing the willows-lined Avon river which curves through the city, you'll head toward Mona Vale, where immaculate gardens may remind you of England.

Refreshments will be served before you return to Crystal Symphony by way of the Lyttelton Tunnel.

Approximately 3 1/2 hours.
