After a 45-minute journey by air-conditioned motor coach, you'll arrive in the bustling
metropolis of Kuala Lumpur. After passing the stately National Mosque and imposing
Railway Station, you'll meander through the narrow streets of Chinatown. Your coach
will pass rows of shop-houses in varied architectural styles in this crowded, colorful
area, which is filled with activity and noise. Then pause briefly at the Jamek Mosque, whose unique design is in stark contrast to the
looming skyscrapers nearby. It stands where the city first emerged, at the
confluence of two rivers. There will be a photo stop at Merdeka Square, where Malaysia's independence was
proclaimed nearly four decades ago, before you continue through the suburbs to the
Selangor Pewter Factory. Browse through a tempting range of pewter souvenir items,
which have been created by skilled local craftsmen. Soon the "Golden Triangle," the city's commercial hub lies ahead. See
impressive skyscrapers, international hotels, shopping complexes, embassies and
millionaires' row which combine to enhance Kuala Lumpur's reputation as one of Asia's most
vibrant and exciting cities. A delicious buffet lunch will be served at the Legend Hotel or similar, before you
reboard the coach and pass the national Stadium. Your return to Crystal Symphony is
past the impressive Shah Alam Mosque in Selangor. Approximately 7 hours. |
