New Zealand's largest city is draped over seven volcanoes and wrapped around Waitemata Harbour (meaning "sea of sparkling waters" in Maori). Shore Excursions

Crystal Symphony's stately arrival at New Zealand's largest city is along the shores of an extinct volcanic cone, known as Rangitoto. Auckland's population of over one million people, represents almost a third of the country's total. This "City of Sails" is now the home of yachting's greatest prize, the America's Cup. It lies astride a narrow isthmus between the Tasman Sea and Pacific ocean on two harbors, the Waitemata and Manukau. Many centuries ago, volcanic activity forged cones, craters, basins, lakes and islands.
